Almost pregnant?
Question:
I just finished my first Fertinex/HCG/IUI cycle. Waited the 18 days, did a hpt negative but no period! I went to my RE who took blood and called me later to say I am pregnant, BUT….the tests indicate a very low level of serum HCG (?) He said by now the number should be about 300 and mine is only 36. Scream!!! He wants me to come in tomorrow (48 hours later) for another blood test. He said he hopes it will be up by then. Of course the odds are against me, but he said it is possible and has happened that I could have a successful pregnancy. I am both happy and sad and confused! If anyone can give me any experience with their numbers and successes or failures please do so asap. I know I will know more tomorrow before I get your posts, but it will be interesting to read them. By the way, I do have PCO and am the proud mom of Kyle 2 years old who was a Clomid 1st try success. However, the past year of clomid has been unsuccessful. This new problem totally shocked me! It seems like if it isn’t one thing it’s another. Thanks for any info and a fast response to calm my questions. Star

My sister came up negative on an early home pregnancy test as well…her HCG levels were very low…she only showed pregnant on the home test after she was pregnant after a full week and a half…(she kept trying at home even after the doc’s test cause she wanted to reassure herself). AND she had a wonderful healthy baby girl…so stay calm and good luck!! Yana
