cholesteral and liver enzymes
Question:
Has anyone with PCO had trouble with Cholesteral and liver enzymes? My ALT and AST are elevated and my cholesteral has gone through the roof (317!) I was on yasmin 2 months, and that is the only change. Anythoughts? -Rebecca ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ Rebecca Swartz Graduate Student in Curriculum and Instruction College of Education University of Illinois ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grow each day as the flowers grow. I’ve had cholesterol problems–256. I’ve been on glucophage/metformin for over two months now. My last cholesterol check was 211, not great, but an improvement. My next check will be in January, so I’ll see if it’s gone down any more (increased dosage of metformin and modified diet). Are you currently taking glucophage? It might be helpful to talk to an endocrinologist or RE (if you aren’t already) about your cholesterol problem. They should be able to advise you as to how to treat it. Michelle
