Clomid and ovulation
Question:
I am going to begin taking clomid again and I wondered what the normal time for ovulation is when on clomid. I took clomid for a couple of months over a year ago and it didn’t work. So now after having a Lap we are trying it again. I forgot how it affects your temp, ovulation etc. Any words of advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks! Shelly

harris: i just came off of clomid last thurs (9-17) and my ovulation test came back poss on sun (9-20). my dr said to start the ovulation kit 2 days after the last clomid pill and not to worry about your temp. It is great not to have to take a temp each morning. It has worked for me before but my pg was a tubal. So I hope that it works for me again and for me. Feel free to email me anytime. angela

what brand ovulatin kit do you use? i tried the kits last cycle and couldnt seem to read it, but this next cycle gonna have a iui also, so i NEED to know for sure when i ovulate. from my temp chart, i ovulated on day 12 this month on my 2nc cycle, but with an iui, i need to know for sure BEFORE i do. but couldnt tell much about hte opk. thanks! i used the ANSWER brand. I have used that brand from the beginning. The way that you know if you ovulated is included. When both lines are a bright purple then you know that you have ovulated. i hope this helps angela

I also use the ANSWER brand opk. It is the cheapest and yet works for me every month. Lord knows all these tests get expensive. Just like Angela said, is how it works. Valerie

I also use the ANSWER brand opk. It works well. I believe that once the test line is equal in color or darker than the reference line, you should ovulate during the next 24 to 36 hours. I haven’t been lucky enough to get pg yet, but now I’m about to start my first dose of chlomid. Does anyone know how long it takes for AF to show after taking provera? I took provera for 7 days and my last day was 2 days ago, and nothing yet. I would really appreciate any responses. I’m starting to get anxious.

once on provera i got my period 6 days after last pill, and once i got it 2 days after last pill. its different with everyone. hang in there, i know its hard to be patient tho =) Kelly 2nd month of clomid I OVULATED, 2 week wait now 5 m/c, last one was may 1st

Altho individual responses vary, it can take up to 2 weeks after the last pill. If I take it for 10 days, AF usually arrives within 3 days. If I take it for 7 days, it takes about 5 days. If AF doesn’t arrive in 2 weeks, call the doctor.

only 2 days after your last clomid pill? I was curious about this because my DR told me to start testing 4 days after my last clomid pill which would put my cycle at day 14 so that can’t be right can it?Because on a 28 day cycle day 14 would be O day. Should I start testing sooner?

My dr also told me to start testing 2 days after and I ovulated only a couple of days of being off the pill. angela

Hi, I have taken clomid on days 5-9. I have an ultrasound done on day 12. I would think that if you were going to use the ovulation kit, you would use it starting on day 11. Good luck
