confused

Hi all this is my 6th mth on clomid i conceived my 4th mth and mc . This mth is the first mth that my doctor done blood work . He tested my progesterone and estradial levels on day 12 . When the results came back it showed my progesterone at 1.8 which means I was producing to much progesterone because i haven’t even ovulated yet and should not have been producing any. Also I had 4 large follicles and the doctor said that with each follicle at that time you should be producing 500 for each one . my total estradial was only 400 when it should have been 2000. Well today is day 8 of my cycle and I woke up this morning with a real bad back (like the kind of pain i had when I miscarried) and later I noticed some brown discharge and a tiny bit of tissue. i called my doctor and the only thing he thinks could be causing this is overstimulation of my ovaries. He uped my dosage fr 100 mg to 150 mg . Next mth if not pg this mth I go to a re in newburg to get treated with metrodin ( my doctor thinks that may be the best treatment for me. ) Do any one have ny ideas why I may be having this brown discharge? First of all, on day 8 of a Clomid cycle you shouldn’t have *large* follicles, unless you had cysts leftover from last month. Did you have a baseline ultrasound this month? Second, E2 should be 200-250 for each mature follicle, not 500! And on Day 8, your eggs are probably not mature yet, so you’d expect your levels to be lower than that. He thinks you’re being overstimulated, then increased your dosage? Does anyone else hear warning bells going off here? Next mth if not pg this mth I go to a re in newburg to get treated with metrodin ( my doctor thinks that may be the best treatment for me. ) Do any one have ny ideas why I may be having this brown discharge?
I think your best bet is to go to that RE. OBGYN’s are very good at delivering babies, but they don’t know much about making them! Best wishes and ++ thoughts, Anne in Southwest FL 92.7% of statistics are made up on the spur of the moment.

On to injectables I would say. Although I think they like to go at least 6 months. Are you just taking clomid? or doing IUI with it? I was on clomid with 7 IUI attempts. Then we went on to pergonal injections and did a GIFT and IVF….both unsucessful. Email me if you have any questions Best wishes, Tori

When I started to TRY and conceive, my periods also became irregular. RE thought it was becuase of my lack of progesterone. I STILL think I may have PCO, which can also make AF irregular. I will never know until I get off my butt and get to the RE again. I asked my DH how he made it through the SA. He said that all he did was close his eyes and dream of something "nice"….of course it was a dream about ME…LOL…YA RIGHT….he was probably dreaming of an encounter with Pamela Anderson!!! I always had regular cycles before we started trying, but now I have noticed that my cycles have become unregular, lasting from 25-31 days…. I just finished doing a HPT because I am on day 31 and have not yet gotten my period. IT WAS NEGATIVE!!!!! Does anyone have any clues as to what may be going on or has anyone had a like experience??? My pd.’s before we started trying were 26-28 days like clockwork…
There could be many reasons why your periods are becoming irregular…stress could be a factor from trying to get pg…or there could be a medical problem as to why this is happening. Your dr. will be able to run some blood tests and go over your history to pinpoint the problem. At this point it is hard to say why it is occurring. I had irregular cycles but they were like 3 months apart, to be honest I think the spacing of your periods by only a few days is not much to be worried about. If it continues or gets even further apart then you should be concerned. Best wishes, shelley

Hello to everyone… I am 32 yrs old and my husband and I started trying for pregnancy 5 months ago. I was never on the pill, but we used condoms and spermicide pryor to deciding to try to get pregnant. My pd.’s before we started trying were 26-28 days like clockwork… Also, my husband is going in a couple of days for a sperm count. He is a little nervous. Any pointers???
