does anyone know if pco can just go away on its own???

I don’t know if it ‘goes away’ but after 1 yr. on the pill back in college, I felt great for 10 years.  I was always heavy, but very fit, active, felt good, regular periods,  *and* didn’t loose, but didn’t *gain* weight, no matter what I ate.   A metabolism catastrophe (broken leg/fractured ankle–stopped ALL activity) set me right back to feeling lousy, irregular periods etc.  I’ve gained weight for the first time since my teens, and it’s the rest of the symptoms that sent me back to a doc. this spring. As far as I understand from what research I’ve done… it is a geneticly linked disorder… not something that can be cured….  hopefully they’ll come up with better treatments to control it though….
