Dr. Hoffman/Florida
Question:
I recently posted asking for a RE in the south Florida area and after much searching finally got an appointment with a reputable group (Ory, Maxson, Hoffman), but now I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me about Dr. Hoffman as this is the one I will be seeing. Is Dr. Hoffman a man or woman, young or old, and how are they with their patients? I am wanting to go to someone who will possibly put me on metformin. I have been thru Clomid, Perganol, Metrodin, Fertinex and everything else that goes along with each drug over the last four years. I only ovulated once, got pregnant, miscarried due to luteal phase defect and after that decided that donor egg (my only option left) was not for me and my husband. Now with all the latest on PCO/Metformin I am looking to start this battle again. Can anyone tell me if Dr. Hoffman will consider this option and if he/she is open to suggestions from patients or if I should sit back and see what they offer first. Please help.

I am in Fort Lauderdale Florida and the Endo I see is a man in plantation named Dr. Vivian Rose. The nurse at my general prac group highly recomended him. The very FIRST day I seen him he set me up to get tested for PCO (The women that answer the phones and staff at his office are realy rude but hes real nice) . My OB/GYN recomended a man in Hollywood named Ken Gelman but my insurance wont cover him and A friend of mine goes to him and realy likes him. Hope this helps. Mariah UTLages wrote in message

I saw dr Ory in the same practice. I also had some contact with dr Hoffman. He is maybe in his early 40s white male. I personally think the entire practice is great. 95% of your contact will be with the nurses – and they are all the same. Some days I know dr hoffman made the decisons on my case if dr ory was in another office or in surgery. I couldnt recomend the practive more highly!!!!!! If you are going to see him in the Margate office email me and Ill tell you who are the best ones to try to deal with from a nurse status. Kaela (twins due 2/13)
