Question:

I’ve been on sprionalactone for years with no unwanted side effects.  It helps my acne when taken along with Demulen and it also help the hirsutism. Missualrdy <missual…@aol.comma> wrote in message

Sorry about the lateness of this reply, I consulted with a toxocologist….Metformin causes stored body fat to be catabolized for energy…I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but most toxins that you come into contact with are stored in your fat. Losing as little as a quarter of a pound releases stored toxins back into your bloodstream, and this most certainly causes acne. I knew exactly when it caused mine, because I don’t usually have cystic acne, just a rash-like pattern. — Cassie ———————————————– 305/276/152 (June 28, 1999) For email, please use czeps [at] home [dot] com ICQ# 45469210 (authorization lowcarb or PCO if necessary) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Sue wrote in message … >Okay – the met is wonderful. The bright side is this happens when we are burning fat and losing weight, right?  Sooner or later we should level off and the breakouts will decease, right?  I hope I am understanding you correctly.  I wish to send this info to my RE–is there anything official, like a website?  ^–^ Cathy {‘ . ‘}    `   Life’s a dance you learn as you go-sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. He said he knew of no reason that met should cause a break-out.  I guess if there is a reason, it hasn’t been discovered yet.  ^–^ Cathy {‘ . ‘}    `   Life’s a dance you learn as you go-sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. I am also going to ask for spironolactone at the next dr visit… >I don’t want answers relating to topical medication or cleansers

Can I please just say one?  Please? Oxy10 balance face wash has saved me from terminal acne.  Really.  And I am sure you know this one… Water?  More water?  Here, have another gallon …  ;) Peace, Patrice

Amazing, I was wondering about breaking out in another thread.  I hadn’t broke out in years, but on the Met, I break out.  I wonder if my hormones are "waking up". I am going to see my RE today, I will ask him if he knows anything about it, though he probably wouldn’t unless other Cysters have been breaking out too. I didn’t break out on Rezulin, but I gained weight on it.  I tend to be losing on Met, so I think I will stick with it for awhile.  ^–^ Cathy {‘ . ‘}    `   Life’s a dance you learn as you go-sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow. Okay – the met is wonderful. I love it. I adore it. But my skin is getting WORSE! (isn’t it Chris?) There’s only so much makeup a woman can wear before funeral directors start patting her hand. Does your skin get worse after your start taking met, THEN get better? Or is something happening to me that hasn’t happened to anyone else? I wanted to give it a couple of months before I looked at trying Aldactone because I can’t tolerate the bcp and don’t like taking any chances – mind you, the way my skin is looking at the moment …. I don’t want answers relating to topical medication or cleansers – I just want to know if my skin will clear up in due course, or if I need to be doing something else. Pass me the paper bag, honey – it’s time to get the mail! Sue, NZ.
