Aldactone flushes testosterone out of the body, so it can really mess up a developing male baby. You absolutely can’t take it if there’s any chance of becoming pregnant. Could you be thinking of metformin, which many docs do consider safe to take during pregnancy? — —->Sagittaria<—- I am the girl of my dreams

Hi Misty, I’ve had about 9 laser treatments on my face and started them about 3 yrs ago when it was very new. I can say that your information is very accurate. You have to let the hair grow for 6 weeks, but you can shave it in the meantime! The place I went used the gentlelase crygenic cooling laser. The first 2 treatments I had were hell to let it grow out before hand. However, it is worth it!!! I used to have almost enough hair for a moustache, goatee and sideburns. Now, my face looks great and is almost hair free. My last treatment was about 6 months ago and there still isn’t enough hair to merit a 10th treatment. What I have now is a clear face with the occassional hair that I pluck. I would also recommend that you take aldactone, a great anti-androgen that will help with acne as well. I’ll be glad to answer any questions. BTW, I used to have severe acne as well and microderm has helped that alot!! "Mstew206" <mstew…@cs.com> wrote in message

i am on it and i was told that it can cause severe abnormalities if it was a boy. since i am not trying to get pregnant right now its ok. it certainly has helped with slowing down the hair growth… but did take a long time to slow it down. kay "Perple Glow" <perpleg…@attbi.com> wrote in message

This is very true. Hey, just a reminder to please change the subject line when you change topic … i have mine set to filter for mails regarding hair removal and so it found these posts on spironilactone that had a subject line of hair removal. Just a polite request, thanks.

Hello, I have been fighting with my hair problem for years. Shaving every morning only to have noticable hair back on my face by afternoon. I went into seclusion for a week because I wanted to try waxing so my skin would look smoother for a little longer, and they told me I needed to let it grow. After waxing once a week for two months I couldn’t take it any longer. I wanted information on laser removal. I knew it would be expensive, but I had to see how expensive. To my surprise, not as expensive as I thought. In my area we have 2 -4 places that do Laser and I believe the competion of these places have lowered the costs. It is still high, but comparible to if I was waxing once a week. The firsrt 3 treatments are the most costly then the next 3 are about half price. They were very straight with me in that I will never be hair free because of PCO but I will notice at least a 80% reduction in the hair growth. They consider me a maintanence patient, and after the first six visits (each 6 wks apart to allow for hair growth patterns) I will only have to go back once or twice a year. I start on Thursday and I am told I will notice a change after the first week. The hair will fall out when dead cells are removed in daily washing. The hair is killed under the skin, even the ones you can’t see yet. Wish me luck, I took a part-time job to help pay this and hope to win my battle. I will keep you posted on the results and let you know if it is worth it. Myndi

Thanks for the encouragement, I start to wonder if it is actually worth it, and if it is going to work or a waste of money.
Response:
Well everyone is different and it worked wonders for me… Do you take aldactone too?? "Mstew206" <mstew…@cs.com> wrote in message

Response:
No I am not on aldactone because I am trying to get pregant and the doctors told me it could affect my baby if it is a boy. So I don’t want to take any chances.
