I am not pg yet….but am 24 years old and have absent periods too. The provera should work for you so don’t give up! You are probably not ovulating and that is why you don’t get a period. Usually in order to get a period, you have to ovulate, then your progesterone level increases (rise in BBT temp)…then after 13 or so days, if you aren’t pg, your uterus starts to shed it’s lining b/c your progesterone level will start to drop…that leads to a period. I would start charting your BBT temps if you aren’t already..at least for 60-90 days…..that way you can see if you are ovulating. If you are like me, your temps will look like a richter scale going up and down constantly….showing hormonal imbalance. If this is the case, Provera and Clomid can be given to help you! Good luck!!! Do they know why you don’t have periods on your own? That’s the first question, before they try anything else. I have a friend who had some syndrome where she was missing a single "trigger" hormone for her cycle. She went through treatment and is now the mother of twins — it does happen. If you are not seeing an RE, go ahead and make an appointment now. Your situation is on the complicated side of things, and you want someone who really knows what they’re doing.
