Morning Highs after starting new job
Question:
Hi, I am a PCO/type 2 patient who had very good control over my glucose levels until this past week when I started a new job. Now I am not sleeping that much at night and my morning glucose levels are higher than before (they had been being in normal range.) Does stress affect glucose levels for any of you? I wonder why the morning levels too, when I am pretty fine through much of the day. Could not sleeping much have an effect? ^—^ Cathy { ‘ . ‘ } ` Those who play with cats must expect to be scratched. 4Cysters: http://pages.ivillage.com/bh/cystercat Other pages: http://peaceonearth.faithweb.com http://littlec.faithweb.com http://www.i-love-cats.com/meow/cat

Higher than before what? starting to work, diagnosis, Saturday? I have found that both stress and lack of sleep will cause a 10-15% jump in me, give it a week or so, get settled into your new job and get some sleep, see what happens. However, I would like to mention if you are seeing a huge jump, call your Dr. – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hi, I am a PCO/type 2 patient who had very good control over my glucose levels until this past week when I started a new job. Yes… Stress will cause a rise in BG. Try some exercise… maybe some meditation. Anything you enjoy as a stress releiver. And you might just wait it out. As you adapt to your new job, your BG should return to normal. Good luck.
