Hi all..I’m new to this group.  I’m from Australia and have been ttc for 4 years.  I was diagnosed with PCO when I was 18…8 years later after a laproscopy I was told that there was no sign of it!!  I don’t ovulate and my hormones are everywhere.  Apparently my eostrogen level is way too high and irritates my uterus because my progesterone level is so low.  As I don’t ovulate I took clomid for approximately 6 cycles – I ovulated on the first go (but had the flu!!) – but never again after that.  The last 3 years I have suffered from extensive uterine bleeding (with one occasion of haemorraghing) and I have had to have 3 seperate surgeries to stop the bleeding.  My Dr is now recommending a hysterectomy…which I am not willing to consider at the moment.  I have just commenced on a progesterone pill (microlute) and believe it or not – I have gone 4 weeks without bleeding. What I wanted to know is if anyone else has had this experience?  I have heard so much about people using progesterone to ’sort out’ their hormones to enable them to get pregnant…I want to know if using this medication could help my system come back to normal levels – and if I could then use this opportunity to try again.  I would appreciate any information. Thank you Kerry
