Pain after exam
Question:
Does anyone else experience pain after a pelvic exam? In particular cramping and nausea (similar to what I remember pms being like <~ with a bit of sarcasm) Thanks
Response:
i didn’t have any nausea and i wouldn’t call it cramping it felt like pain pain at first then a dull ache for pretty much the rest of the day

I had pain for several days after my last exam. I don’t remember if I had nausea or not, but I definitely had an ache through what felt like the whole center of my body and some more intense pain by my cervix. I had to have three in about 2 weeks, though…the first one was abnormal, the second one didn’t come out right, and then the third one to show that it was normal after all…no fun

I used to get pain when they would scrape for the cells, sometimes a little nauseous – but I think the latter happened because I was anticipating the pain of the former. Then I would be sore and would sit with a heating pad on my stomach for the rest of the day. Yes!! Without fail I feel pain after every pelvic exam. Very sore. Which is frustrating because I don’t feel the pain until after im already home and away from the doctor. Figures!!
