pco irc chat problems

AOL blocks some from accessing IRC ……. has anyone tryed to log on to the together-2.vt.us.another.net chat server and beed unable to or know why i am unable to? do i have to specify a diferent port other than 6667? are there only certain times this service is up and running? I have no problem logging on to other irc servers i want to join the pco chat group and would appreciate it if anybody could point me in the right direction thanks jenn
