pituitary gland
Question:
I was told by my doctor the other day that my pituitary gland is producing too much of a hormon. I have noticed that a lot of women state that they are on something for the problem. My questions are, what exactly hormon is the pituitary glad producing and am I suppose to take drugs for it? I am on metformin if that makes a difference. Thanks. Misty

The pituitary gland makes a whole bunch of different hormones…..I can think of at least 10, offhand. Sorry, but we can’t answer your question. If you have PCO, it’s probable that your LH is too high….that could be the one s/he was referring to (or not). <<My questions are, what exactly hormon is the pituitary glad producing and am I suppose to take drugs for it? >> -Kay
