taking Repronex
Question:
You will know you’re headed for hyperstimulation (OHSS) by your E2 levels. Anything above 2000 is fair game. However, with IVF, they try to suck out as much follicular fluid (which causes OHSS) as possible, to prevent it. Those with PCO are more prone to it….as there are 2 chemicals in the fluid that PCO’ers are especially sensitive to.
Kay, thank you for the information. I was scared I was headed that way already – I’m on day 4 of repronex – I didn’t understand that it would happen after aspiration. My ovaries are feeling "funny" and like I said, I don’t know what to expect physically. Thank you for responding. Karen

<< lets say I did start to hyperstimulate – at what day might this start to get bad?
I’ll add on to what Edek4 wrote. It normally will show up towards the end of your stimulation. It can sometimes be seen prior to retrevial as fluid in the uterine cul de sac via ultra sound. It does not mean you will hyperstimulate. I started feeling bloated the day of my HGC shot, and it got progressively worse for about 10 days. I started coming down 2 days prior to my pg test. You will know if you get it. Michelle

I’m on day two using Repronex. Using 3 amps a night. This is my first IVF cycle, so I really don’t know what to expect while on repronex. I’ve read some of y’all describing hyperstimulating. Would anyone that has used Repronex give me some clues as what to expect. And lets say I did start to hyperstimulate – at what day might this start to get bad? Thanks for any advise! Karen

True OHSS isn’t really common, and starts after egg retrieval….pretty much immediately, and lasts about 4-5 days. (I just recovered from it, myself….). If one becomes pregnant, the OHSS will return about 12 days post retrieval….around the time of your pregnancy test.
