Congrats David & Melissa!!! Way to go!!! :) – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hello  ladies ! Dh and I just got the results from his latest SA. Surprisingly his numbers went up from 11 million to  61 million, with no morphology! woo hoo! What a load off DH’s mind :) The only problem she said was 73% were not moving. So she told us the next step would be IUI. I’m very excited but also scared at the same time. Is that natural? I mean I have this absolutely unnatural fear of being pregnant. Wierd huh? ;) My doc referred us to a great group of RE’s in a town about  40 minutes from here so we can get started. If  only I could lose the weight before then…..Doc says my pco is not severe enough to put me on metformin, but yet I managed to get the worst symptom ( at least it seems that way to me :) inability to  lose weight. Any ideas or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you for teaching me so much along the road we are all on. Much love to you all Melissa  P.S good luck Deb this weekend! :)

I think it’s perfectly natural to be scared and excited. I think it’s great that there’s a PLAN!! Good luck. I’ll be thinking of you. Susan – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text – Hello  ladies ! How did he do it? Best of luck:) Maybe the RE will put you on metformin which might help you lose weight.  ,,  ,—, (_,/ _/   _/__/ ,,/_/,,/_/,,,

Well, due to Theresa getting a slight injury at work, she needed pain meds. We told the doctor she may be pregnant, so he did a blood test. It was a big fat negative. We are 9 days past insemination, so it should have shown up. He said it would show after 3 days. So, back to the drawing board, back to the bank to order another semen shipping kit, and back to stacking pillows under her behind. I am personally sad. I kind of expected the test to be negative, but I was sure hopeful. That should count, shouldn’t it?! I have never had a ‘planned’ baby, so this is all new to me. All 3 of my kids were surprises. Of course I wanted them. But this is different. I know, I am preaching to the choir, you all know how I feel! I just wanted to let everyone know. Keep thinking fertile thoughts for us, as we will do for all of you!   We will be trying again right before Thanksgiving. Tami and Theresa

Response:

Sorry about your disappointment.  Good Luck and positive thoughts to you. Sharon

Response:

Tami and Theresa….. Don’t give up all hope just yet.  9 days post insemination is still TOO EARLY for a blood hCG test!   Heck, implantation isn’t even complete yet!! Whichever doctor told you that you could get a positive test by 3 days post insemination is obviously not a gyn!!!!  That is impossible!!   And if he IS a Best of luck! -Kay
