I did for 6 months.  My lab results got worse. Through diet and exercise alone, my fasting insulin went from 1.5 over normal to high end of normal.  I hope to get that to low normal sometime in the future. essense  Does anyone take glucophage for insulin resistance? – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text –

I did but it gave me the shits so bad I had to stop. I was taking 1000mg twice a day for IR and PCOS. Im currently on nothing but a low carb diet and vitamins.

I am also taking 1000mg/twice for IR plus 2mg Amaryl (glimeperide).  I was letting my numbers slide up into mid-high high-range.  After restarting Atkins in Nov., I dropped back to mid-high normal range and trying to get it lower!
