Prolactinomas

Question:

Have you all had your prolactin levels checked?  I found out I had PCOS months before I found out I had a prolactinoma.  My OBGYN discovered the PCOS and sent me to a endocrinologist who ran bloodwork and discovered the prolactinoma.  Apparently they’re pretty common and it was causing as much trouble as the PCOS as far as ttc.  I was wondering if it’s a common thing for PCOS women to have prolacinomas too?  A prolactinoma, for those who don’t know, is a small benign tumor on the pituitary gland that messes up hormones so you never get a period or ovulate. Try the Fertility and Sterility Feb 1999 issue. One of the articles talks about an Italian study with PCOS women doing well on Cabergoline/Dostinex, a medication to treat hyperprolactimia. Victoria "Qintes" <Qin…@floodcity.net> wrote in message
