What can anyone tell me about the relationship of pituitary tumor to PCOS, or PCOS-like symptoms? If one does have such a tumor, what are the treatments and prognosis? – Keith

Keith, One of my friend’s daughters has a tumor on her pituatary gland and she has much the same symptoms as someone with PCOS. She suprised everyone when she became pregnant–it is supposed to be hard. When she and her hubby moved here to be closer to her mom, she continued to see the same RE in Atlanta. An RE would be able to give you better details than I ever could, but I think her treatment involved certain hormones, what they are I don’t know. Keith, This usually mean that it is not PCOS. But something much like it called Cushing’s Syndrome.
