help!!

Question:

I was diagnosed with PCOS two years ago and i don’t have any information on this.  I read all the posts and i am amazed at all the information i do not know.  i have tried to find a doctor who knows anything about this and i just go in circles…. I have gone to primary doctors and switched gynecologists numerous times.  i was finally put on the pill and it helped.  i lost weight, had normal periods, etc. now my doctor is taking me off the pill. what do i do? i am gaining weight again and no periods. if anyone can let me know if there is a place i can call to locate a doctor familiar with this i would appreciate it.

Response:

Try finding an endocrinologist (spelling may be off) with PCOS experience and/or an OB/GYN that specializes in endocrinology.  This syndrome is an endocrine problem and that’s why traditional family practioners and OB/GYN’s have limited knowledge. Ask your current doctor for a referral or pull out the yellow pages and start calling.

Response:
