PCOS Diagnosis

Question:

I was diagnosed about a month and a half ago.  I was involved with a study of an insulin stabilizing drug until my pap smear came back with abnormal cells.  Now I’m really confused about what to do.  I don’t have medical insurance and I can’t afford to go to the doctor with out it. I’m hoping to go on one of the low carb diets and I’m looking into herbal treatment.  I would appreciate any suggestions or information. Thanks. Leslie

Personally, even if you couldn’t afford it, I would try to find some way to go. I know myself I am quite poor and went anyways. My doctor told me that it was good that I had found out about it. I wouldn’t want to find out that I may be infertile later on due to not checking it out. I’m being treated for PCOS with Ortho-Tri cyclen right now. I’m not sure if it is working or not, but I know that I now have normal periods and it’s kinda strange. First time in my life                           :) From what I read here, the low carb diets help with the weight gain. Dawn
