Montel Williams
Question:
I am so angry there should be smoke coming out of my ears. They had a feature today about a woman who was inspired to lose weight by the Montel Williams show. I was ready to be impressed…she supposedly weighed 215 pounds and was a size 24 and how is a size 4 after a 100 pound weight loss…. They talk about how she does 500 to 1000 crunches a day,,,,lifts weights..goes to the gym etc…. It is later revealed that she had surgery to lose the weight,…If thats what it takes fine.,.I have no problems with someone who goes that route.. but for her "efforts" she was given a treadmill. It just boggles my mind.. 312-280-160 Just Me, Lisa. "I’m not fat..I’m big boned!" -Eric Cartman- *SouthPark* PCOS the silent Disease << http://www.pcosupport.org

Ya gotta wonder about stuff like this… surgery? first of all it’s a very risky business, second of all it’s very expensive. The woman was inspired to place herself at risk and spend a lot of money and I’m supposed to think that’s worth an hour of my time to watch? That’s entertainment, I guess… I’m glad this woman lost weight and feels great. And I don’t even begrudge her the treadmill. But I reckon she has learned the toughest lesson of all… there really are no short-cuts to good health. Whether you wake up in the morning thin or fat- ya still gotta eat right and exercise to stay fit.
