13 dpt update (pos beta / m/c / mentioned)

Question:

Hi all We transferred 3, 8 cell great looking embryo’s (or whatever they should be called) All was going well then on Monday I had slight staining, it continued and on Thurday pm I had bad pain around my uterus / bladder area. Went to the RE’s rooms on Friday morning had a urine test that showed lots of blood and protein.  Dr put me on an antibiotic. Sat pm bleeding started, no longer just spotting.  Went to RE this am. Did Beta and it was positive.  They have also tested the progesterone and will get the quant level tomorrow.  Changed to progesterone inj.  Bleeding much less but not stopped at yet. This was our 5th ICSI 3 of which we m/c at different times and for different reasons. Is there any chance that this pregnancy will make it. Thanks for all your advice Erin

Erin, I am really pulling for you that this pregnancy stays for you and you deliver a healthy happy baby in 9 months!!!!!   Good luck on your beta tomorrow.  I hope the added progesterone does the trick and you recover from the badder infection quickly.  I will keep you in my thoughts. It looks like I am two weeks behind you.  I pray we are both really big and pregnant this summer!!! Tricia IVF/IVCI #4 retrieval yesterday, 9 embryos this morning!!! – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -Hi all We transferred 3, 8 cell great looking embryo’s (or whatever they should be called) All was going well then on Monday I had slight staining, it continued and on Thurday pm I had bad pain around my uterus / bladder area. Erin, I have/had a very similar situation.  I was 9dpt  (this Monday, also),and started staining. I went for a progesterone test that day and they thought that AF may be starting, but unlikely.   They did a beta.  I was told to continue all meds (progesterone, baby aspirin and low wt. heparin).  The next day, the bleeding stopped, but that night, I had terrible cramping, and the bleeding started, again.  I just knew that it was over.  Well, the next day, I went for a beta.  I was told that my beta was 39 (quite low) and that my estradiol plummeted.  I was to increase my progesterone shots and given estrace tablets.  I wasn’t given much hope, and told to really take it easy. On Friday, another beta showed that my estradiol went from 92-211, and my beta was at 79. It had doubled!!(plus one)!  I have had no bleeding sinceWednesday and continued to do nothing but stay on the sofa.  I wrote requesting the same info as you, and got a few positive responses from women in their 2nd and 3rd trimesters, having the same initial problems..  Just take it easy, stay positive, and I will keep you in my prayers.
