back to doctor (bit long – soz)

Question:

Over a year ago I was diagnosed with PCOS. The doc told me to carry on trying to lose weight which was working at the time and then go back. When I stopped losing weight I didnt feel like going back for a lecture on my failure and thought he would do nothing anyway as he said metformin was only a last resort and the next step was bcp which I didnt want. Anyway – am getting married in couple of months and we want to start family. Should I go back??? What should I ask/say??? Cheers in advance!

Response:

Hi, If your doctor is a regular OB/GYN or family doctor I would consider switching to a reproductive endocrinologist.  In my experience, they are much more helpful with managing PCO and ttc. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Karen "Jomcmad" <jomc…@aol.com> wrote in message
