bowel adhesions question
Question:
Hi– I’ve been lurking for a while, and now I really need help. I have both endo and pcos. The endo is on my right tube and ovary. I had a lap which was supposed to remove it the endo, but the adhesions on my tube are there to stay. I have had pain on that side for a while, but the doctor seemed to think it was my ovary just being swollen [but only on one side, can you imagine?]. It hurts when that intestinal loop is ‘full’ and then it feels like a long ridge. Does that sound like an intestional adhesion to anyone? He wants do something like a barium enema but with some kind of dye that will allow him to see the surrounding tissues. Anybody know if that will let him see if my intestine is welded to my tube and ovary? And if I force a lap on him later, what is the name of that film that they can put on your innards to keep the adhesions from welding everything together while it heals? m In the beginning there was the Word. And the Word was Chocolate. And it was good… Confections, 1.5 ounces, 240 calories.
Response:
I agree with Susan on every count. I didn’t know that Intercede may be worsening adhesions. Thanks for that info. –barbara When replying via e-mail, remove the "z" from the e-mail address.
