Clomid Questions – Please advise
Question:
Have anyone of you had similar experiences. i.e started taking clomid even before you started your period.
First off you need to do a pg test before you start the clomid….alot of the time if you do not start after provera it either means you are pg,have a homrone imbalance or a cyst. It is better to be safe than sorry. I have heard of Dr’s doing things this way but I have no personal info to share. Call your Dr. and have him explain why he is having you take the clomid without even having a period. When was your last period anyway? If it has been awhile I wouldn’t take the clomid, even if you did ovulate your lining will be to thick and not hospitable for implantation. shelley PCOS ttc almost 2 years on metformin

<<If it has been awhile I wouldn’t take the clomid, even if you did ovulate your lining will be to thick and not hospitable for implantation. Is possible, but I don’t know if I agree. Clomid is infamous for thinning out lining. Also, since the Provera didn’t work, that suggests an estrogen deficiency. If she’s estrogen-deficient, then her lining probably isn’t too built up……since estrogen causes uterine lining to develop. I *have* heard of people using clomid to try to induce a period, where Provera fails to work, altho it’s otherwise uncommon to start Clomid w/out a bleed. -K

Hi Everyone, My RE had me take Provera 10 mg for 5 days, and two weeks after my last provera meds., I still didn’t have my period. My RE feels that I may not have a period this cycle and wants me to start taking clomid anyway. Have anyone of you had similar experiences. i.e started taking clomid even before you started your period. Please advise ! Thanks, Christine
