Question:
I was diagnosed with PCOS about five years ago- I am 25 now. I was first put on birth control pills that did not provide any help. About two years ago I was put on Depro-provera and noticed weight gain. My doctor told me I have two options get off all medications and hope for the best or be put on a low dosage of estrogen birth control pills. I feel I was left with little or no information because he told me it was left up to me. Help

Go see a Reproductive Endocrinologists. Many of them use treatments other than bcp or provera (ob/gyns seem to like to use these). Many women are on metformin. <html><P ALIGN=CENTER>Cathy (to email, delete spamslam) <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Cottage/8060/index.html">My Web </A> <A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Cottage/8060/PCOS.html">PCO page </a></P></html>
