CM and clomid question

Question:

The sperm require fertile type (stretchy, egg-white) CM to swim in. How much they need, I really cannot answer.  It has been suggested that you can use egg whites.  Are you sure you’re ovulating? The OPK said I was but I was just reading on the net that Clomid can give you a false positive…something my dr. NEVER told me.  I think I’m going to scream! Karen Atkins since 5/1/00 209/192/136 http://www.geocities.com/MyHope1297/index.html

I think it’s called that Cynthia. It’s the Crighton model where you go to  like 8 followups and they help you chart.I have a book.I think it does say NaPro on it.Robin In article <%s_%4.43076$Ft1.2369…@typhoon.ne.mediaone.net>,   "Cynthia Pelletier" <cpelletier at mediaone dot net> wrote: – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> Sounds like your doing NaPro Family Planning. Clomid tends to thicken the cervical mucous, which can make conception difficult.  I use regular Robitussion from cd10 until two days after ovulation.  It really helps to thin the mucous. Jeanette MyHope1297 <myhope1…@cs.comnospam> wrote in message

Some women with PCOS already have elevated LH levels, which would make an OPK useless.  Didn’t your RE check your LH levels when he/she put you on Met? Jeanette MyHope1297 <myhope1…@cs.comnospam> wrote in message

I’m not on Met. I am doing Atkins to control my insulin levels.  He did indeed do all the advanced bloodwork.  I have since read in another book that clomid is the least likely to interfere with an OPK so who knows…we’ll just have to wait and see I guess. I sure hope someone here can answer this….I have been reading that the amount of cervical mucous (at ovulation) determines how fertile you are.  Can you ovulate and not have the typical egg-white mucous?  Can you still get pg?  I am confused because I got a positive opk last saturday but my cm didn’t change any. typically I have a problem with that anyway.  does clomid affect cm?  This two week wait is wreaking havoc on my mind! TIA, Karen Atkins since 5/1/00 209/192/136 http://www.geocities.com/MyHope1297/index.html

Karen,I am doing the cervical mucous charting with the help of practitioners. They say anything that is clear, lubricative,or streachy of an inch or more is peak mucous. You wipe from front to back with flat layers of tissue and notice the mucous on the tissue then finger test anything that you can to see if it stretches. My mucous isn’t very good quality I guess because they give me a low mucous cycle score.I take Vit B-6 to help it and Robitussin.I think Clomid can dry up cervical mucous.Robin In article <20000608174943.06869.00000…@ng-fl1.news.cs.com>,   myhope1…@cs.comnospam (MyHope1297) wrote: – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -> I sure hope someone here can answer this….I have been reading that the amount > of cervical mucous (at ovulation) determines how fertile you are.  Can you > ovulate and not have the typical egg-white mucous?  Can you still get pg?  I am > confused because I got a positive opk last saturday but my cm didn’t change > any. typically I have a problem with that anyway.  does clomid affect cm?  This > two week wait is wreaking havoc on my mind! > TIA, > Karen > Atkins since 5/1/00 > 209/192/136 > http://www.geocities.com/MyHope1297/index.html
