Doctor called…Good and Other
Question:
Well, the doctor’s office called (I had some blood tests run for my ‘3 weeks after the hospital crud’ checkup). Good news is that only three weeks after losing so much blood I needed a transfusion, my hematocrit is fully normal (39.3!). Yeah! Meat does a body GOOD! The other news is that two other tests (prolactin and DHEAS) are high, and I have to go back in to have those re-checked and to have testosterone and insulin levels taken as well. Another piece of (to me) good news is that my progesterone level is normal. < I refused (politely) to take a Provera ’scrip the last visit unless he could demonstrate that I was deficient with a blood test. Heh, heh, heh… The crummy part is it’s a fasting test, so I decided to go in tomorrow morning and get it over with. I guess I’ll pack a breakfast and thermos of coffee for afterwards. Take care, Carmen the Pincushion

Sounds like more good than bad, Carmen! Of course, there’s all those big ol’ words that I don’t know, so I’ll just smile and nod

I suspect that is what he’s up to…the insulin probably will fake him out though. I’ve been low carbing for 23 months, and I’ve lost about 100 pounds, so the insulin isn’t *allowed* to go nuts like it used to. They did an ultrasound on me only a month ago, and he examined them and said that he didn’t see anything that wasn’t the normal cysts that show up for the monthly cycle. It’s also possible that it’s an adrenal gland problem. I’ll go in and give them some more blood and then see what that says, I guess. Take care, Carmen

You’re so cute….I think it is more good than other. At least I don’t have to take female hormones (I just *know* they would make me bloat), and I’m topped up on the blood supply front. And that’s a gooood thing. <G Take care, Carmen
