I wish they would carry ostrich meat though. Some folks have reported seeing it at Whole Foods but I never have, but I had an ostrichburger at Fuddrucker’s last summer and it was quite yummy.

And the really sad thing is that you guys missed the Ostrich festival here in sunny Arizona. It was last weekend. Chandler Arizona to be exact.  If I had been home last weekend I would have gone. Just wanted to let y’all know that I placed an order tonight for some of the hot dogs and hamburg patties from Heartland Buffalo.  Don’t really care for hot dogs all that much but thought they would make for a quick meal at work.  I found the prices very reasonable compared to other sources for buffalo meat and the web site is very easy and quick to use.  Received a confirmation by email soon after I placed the order.  Will let you know how tasty it all is.  Now, I have to find some lowcarb catsup.  What are hot dogs without catsup!!   140/131/128    Since 9-9-1998

Received my order of buffalo meat (speedy, ordered on Sunday, received on Wednesday).  The hot dogs are delicious…and I don’t really care for hot dogs but I love these.  The burger is, of course, dry because it’s low fat.  And now that   that is of no concern I find them lacking.  However, next time I cook one I will do it in olive oil which is better than the satuated oil in regular hamburg so I like that. I also received ‘Roam’ the buffalo Beanie Baby as a bonus.  A very nice touch and much appreciated. Sometimes they have ground buffalo meat at my local Whole Foods. I’ve made meat loaf from it and it was pretty tasty. I wish they would carry ostrich meat though.
