kind of OT– surgery question
Question:
Hi everyone– what in the heck happened in this newsgroup?? geez– i miss a couple of days of reading and all hell breaks loose… i enjoy this group so much and i learn a lot– if there is something you dont want to read, then dont read it- dang… anyway, i am having my tonsils taken out in a month, and i have been out of my medicine for a month now– i was planning on telling the doctor that i am not on my meds any more, so then i wont have to tell the anesthesiologist about my condition since my mom is taking me and she doesnt know about my PCOS… that is my shortened version of my story– it is long and complicated, but i was just wondering if anyone had any advice?? does being on gluco and spiro and BCPs affect anesthesia…. i mean, i havent been on gluco in a couple of weeks, but i am still taking spiro every night.. i just dont know what to do– does this even make sense?? sorry, i am just not in the best of sorts right now… any info would be great.. thanks– becky

I am getting my tonsils out this morning and the doctor requested I not take glucophage for a couple of days beforehand. I don’t know about spiro. I am taking my thyroid pill today however.
