Question:
It is automatic, I just have to give my check the HR dept and I’m embarrassed to say that I’ve been a bit lazy and didn’t drop it off until yesterday. But I have to add thanks for your responses. I am so glad I found this ng, everyone is so nice. Eva "Victoria" <nicholl…@home.com> wrote in message

Cobra is supposed to be continuous coverage, if you don’t get your information soon it shouldn’t matter, they will pay retroactively anyway as long as your appointments are within you covered time frame. The employer has 45 days to send your paperwork in to COBRA in order to activate it but you should be covered from the date of termination, the only problem with it is you will have to pay up front for some services and medications and ask for reimbursal which can be a pain in the rear end. Call your local COBRA office and ask for specific terms as far as times of coverage, you should be able to go see your doctor any time you need to from the date of termination. Good luck! I’m new to this ng and new to posting, so if I do something wrong, please tell me. I suspect that I have PCO. Can anyone tell me about any good website or sites that has good, credible information, not one of those sites that try to sell you millions of products to "cure" you, know what I mean. As far as going to the doctor, I can’t go yet because I was laid off because of the WTC, so I have to wait for my cobra to kick in, but if someone knows the name of a good doctor in northern New Jersey, please let me know. Thanks and I’m glad I found this ng.

Hi Eva, I wanted to send my condolences about being laid off. You shouldn’t have to wait for COBRA to kick in though, that should be automatic. Victoria "Eva" <ev…@att.net> wrote in message
