Ortho Tri-Cyclen Warning
Question:
I just want everyone to know it doesn’t work for everyone. Even before PCOS came up, I saw the ads promoting it to help with skin and I asked my ob-gyn to put me on that instead of my reg. pill, last year. It turned out to be a HUGE< HUGE mistake. I broke out the worse I’ve ever done in my entire adult life….with scars to prove it. It was TERRIBLE for me. At first no one believed me because they said it was the transition of the hormones, etc…but after six months I just went off the pill on my own, I couldn’t stand it. My skin started to get better immediately and when I finally talked to a good nurse practitioner at the women’s clinic…she said yeah…she’s beeing some people GET acne who never even HAD it before from that pill So, I know it works well for somebody….but I thought people should know, that whatever it does, it doesn’t work for a lot of us. It was the worst drug experience I’ve ever had and scarred my skin terribly. FYI xklm

Hey I took ortho cept for 5 months i went off couldn’t stand it. Acne was the one symptom I never had until the pill and oily skin too. Alot of mood swings. I am glad I am off. Though it did help a little with the hair but not enough to make a difference with the amount I have

Stuff made me head for a stroke. Increased my insulin/blood sugar way too much, among other things. Besides, at this point, I dont want to be on bcp’s.
