Triphasic chart?!
Question:
Hi everyone, I have a question here about a triphasic chart. I am currently on 150mg clomid & my charting this month looks the best it ever has. Prior to ovulation temp was in the 97. somethings…..okay then O occured, so my temp went from 97.7 to 98.3. Temp stayed at 98.3 & 98.4 for four days. Today it jumped up to 98.7!!!! To me, on the chart it is blatantly triphasic, as long as the 98.7 stays in that range! My question is this: Is 5dpo too soon for that bundle of cells to have implanted itself? Just don’t want to get to exicted yet! Trying to keep my guard up. Thanks to anyone who takes time to read this & reply!!!!

<<My question is this: Is 5dpo too soon for that bundle of cells to have implanted itself? The fertilized egg enters the uterus 4 days post fertilization. Implantation usually begins 5-6 days post fertilization, and is complete by 9-10 days post fertilization. Temps rise in response to rising progesterone. Progesterone will only increase after implantation begins, and after a functioning placenta is formed, creating enough hCG to impact progesterone levels and temps. So, altho implantation can occur 5 days post fertilization, it think it is a little too soon for it to affect temperatures, just yet. It needs a few days after implantation starts, to start cranking out the hCG, which in turn elevates progesterone, which elevates temps. Good luck!! -Kay PCOS; 8 clomid (1 mc); 4 Fertinex/IUI; 1 IVF (ectopic); FET #1 (no pg); FET #2 was 6/13 …preg test 6/25…. going nuts.

I hope I explain this right….A triphasic BBT chart is when your first part of the cycle has one range of temps…then you ovulate and jump up to a new range of temps. Then, for some people they go tri-phasic…about half way thru the luteal phase they jump up again. Usually to determine if it is a tri-phasic temp, it is at least 2 points higher than the previous 6 days of temps and stays at that range or higher for 2 or more days. It *can indicate pg, but I know I have had this happen, and I wasn’t pg…. Best Wishes To All Who Pass Through This Newsgroup And Fertile Thoughts! Patti Moving on to Pergonal and Clomid 100 mg days 3-7 and lots of monitoring with a RE =)
