Upset with Met
Question:
I have now taken met for 2 mos. About a 3-4 weeks ago I had that 2 week long first period on met. And now nothing. I don’t when to expect another cycle. I feel as though nothing is happening. I am so tempted to stop taking met, but …. I am very discouraged right now. Thanks for listening!
Response:
It took me a few months to regulate out. Give it a chance my RE says give it at least 6 months. I know it’s a long time. But if it gave you a period it’s doing something. Donna "SR5242" <sr5…@aol.com> wrote in message

Don’t stop now. Give it some time to really start working for you. I have been on it for about 2 months now and I still have nothing but the diarreah (sorry I know GROSS). You have had one cycle so far so something is working already. Give it some more time, I know it is hard, I haven’t had a cycle for 5 years now so I am really trying to be patient with it. You can do this..We can do this…:) Tracy – Hide quoted text — Show quoted text -SR5242 wrote: > I have now taken met for 2 mos. About a 3-4 weeks ago I had that 2 week long > first period on met. I went on Glucophage (Met) because of Diabetes. I hadn’t had a cycle on my own in many years. 30-40 days after I started the Glucophage I had a cycle on my own! It only lasted a few days and was rather heavy. Still, I was ecstatic! That was a month and a half ago and I haven’t had one since. But, like you, I am trying not to be discouraged. I do understand how frustrating it can be and I am sure you are not alone. The difference is, I have to stay on the Glucophage for my Diabetes, so giving it up is not an option. — Kristin 29 PCOS T2 — "Trasea1" <tras…@hotmail.com> wrote in message

Besides…keep in mind that even if it doesn’t make you regular on your cycle (particularly if you’re TTC), it’s STILL helping to keep your insulin in check. which is a VERY GOOD THING. Elise
