U/S yesterday, results (lots of ???'s)

Question:

I am on 50 mg of Clomid and go for my first u/s on March 29.  I am pretty nervous about what they may find and what treatment will happen next.   It did help reading the previous posts.  Does anyone know what size they would like the follicles to be?  Thanks.

THIS TREATMENT SOUNGS RIGHT. YOU MAT WANT TO TRY A CYCLE WITH CLOMID/DEXMETHOSE AND AFTER THAT IS GONE INSERTING ESTRIDOL VAGINALLY.. IT SOUNDS AS THOUGH YOU RE IS ON TOP OF THINGS BUT HOW MANY MONTHS HAVE YOU JUST BEEN ON CLOMID ?? Hi Everyone,     I went in yesterday and got a cd 15 U/S done. I am on 100 mg of Clomid this cycle, previous cycle I didn’t ovulate with 50 mg. So this cycle I was suppose to go in for the scan if I didn’t detect an LH surge by CD 14. This is what they found and it concerns me quite a bit.     Right ovary there was one follicle 20mm, she said it was good to go. Left ovary there was one follicle but very small, not worth mentioning. She also said my endometrium lining was too thin. (this really concerns me), The big doc came and looked at my scan (I had two docs look at it) and she said it was maybe not as thin as it looks. (ugh) So I don’t know if it is way to thin as the first doc said or just slightly thin and can be corrected  as the other doc. Great, fine! Anyhow this is what they did.     They gave me a $41.50 shot of profassi (hCG) so I can ovulate. The big doc said this should also help build up the lining too. I am also to start taking progesterone supp. starting in three days, that is also for my thin lining.     Now these are my questions. Is there any hope at all for this cycle?? Does the treatment they are doing sound right? Is there anything else to help my lining?? Shouldn’t I  have produced more follicles on 100 mg Clomid? What about next cycle, should I ask for a higher dose? And last but not least, any advice on the progesterone suppositories, and what to expect from them? I feel like another cycle is down the drain. Estrace, but it’s kinda late for that.  If used, it should be started shortly after finishing the clomid. <<Shouldn’t I  have produced more follicles on 100 mg Clomid? Not necessarily.  I didn’t produce *any* at 100mg (altho I ovulated a few times at 50mg). << What about next cycle, should I ask for a higher dose? Well, if you’re ovulating at 100mg, and 100 mg is causing lining problems, then I wouldn’t suggest a higher dose (unless you add estrace or something).  Have you considered injectables? << And last but not least, any advice on the progesterone suppositories, and what to expect from them? They’re messy.  Try to lay down (hips elevated) for an hour after insertion and use a minipad.

Your post sounds like I could have written it myself! I have some differences. I did clomid 100mg (I also took dexamethasone) and when I had my U/S I had one follicle at 11 and one at 16. 2 days later, the 11 was a 15 and the 16 was a 20. My lining looked real thick. I was then given my 40+ dollar shot of Profasi and progest. suppositories to start  a couple days later. One week from my Profasi shot, I had a Progesterone level taken. It was 16, we wanted it to be around 20. She switched my suppositories over to Crinone Gel since I had spotted and had mild cramps a few days prior.(not as messy at the supp.) Now, I wait. I think I am 10 dpo. I am not 100% convinced that I even ovulated. My temp is sky high in the morings but I am pretty sure that its from the Gel. I just wanted you to know, you arent alone.
