lots of questions

Question:

Hi everyone: I have an appointment with my GP on September 28.  I’m hoping to find out that I’m IR.  I have been reading that people who have the glucose tests eat a lot of carbs prior to the test so, my question is What should I do?  Why should we load up on carbs before?  And if that’s what we should do why doesn’t the doctor tell us that?  When should I start eating them? and How much should I eat?  Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be prepared.  I have been dealing with this PCOS for years now and getting no where.  I’m hoping my doctor will listen and I can get some help. I have one more question.  I just recently sent in my membership for PCOSA.  I read here that they send you a packet of information.  My question is how long does it take to process your application and receive the information packet?  I’m hoping I can have it by the time I see the doctor but I realize that isn’t much time. Thanks in advance, Lisa
