<<can someone please tell me what pcos is? PCOS is Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. It is thought to be caused by insulin resistance, and manifests itself, fertility-wise, by lack of or infrequent ovulation/menstruation (among a variety of other symptoms). Here are some helpful websites: http://www.ihr.com/bafertil/articles/pcos.html http://www.hmc.psu.edu/obgyn/pcosinf.htm

Response:

Hi Cheryl, PCO is polycystic ovaries.  The ovaries produce too many follicular cysts.  Can enlarge ovaries and in some instances cause you not to ovulate.  Have you had Ultrasound and blood tests to confirm PCO?  Sometimes the OB/GYN can put you on Clomid or Serophene to induce ovulaation.  Good Luck…God Bless
